we're all afraid of something...

Because we obviously need more children’s movie references in life, here’s what I learned from secret life of pets 2. Yup. I also watched this one.

I learned (🥁 drum roll please 🥁)....

We're all afraid of something. Maybe it's getting outside our comfort zone or actually leaving the job we hate. Maybe it's having a tough conversation, or maybe, like most dogs, it's vacuum cleaners.

But, as Rooster, the farm dog in this movie, says “here’s the trick- the first step of not being afraid is ACTING like you’re not afraid.”

I think Rooster is on to something. That's all it takes.

Because we can't go through life not being scared. Being scared is a part of life, but it doesn't have to control our lives.

We can choose to stand tall and pretend we're not afraid, even when we're scared shitless. We can do the thing regardless of our fear. Because if we let being afraid stop us, we're missing out on life!

And plus, once we do the thing, we realize it wasn't that scary after all. Am I right?!

So how can you practice acting like you aren't scared today? Will you finally wear that outfit that you're afraid is too 'out there'? Will you stand up for yourself in a new way? Will you apply to that job you've been eyeing? Will you try something new?

Let me know below!
