fear and gratitude don't mix

Fear and gratitude can't exist simultaneously.

Whoa. Wait. What? That's how my client reacted yesterday. And who can blame her - it's crazy to think about. But it's true.

There are tons of reasons to feel scared, right? Fears I hear about all the time are fear of failure, criticism from others, fear of not being good enough, wondering if there's something wrong with us, fear around money, the list goes on.

But when we shift our perspective to notice that we can't have any of those fears or anxieties while experiencing gratitude, a weight is lifted.

Because gratitude, my friends, is what it's all about. Being thankful for what's happening in this moment, not wishing the moment away.

And gratitude can be super easy. I'm thankful for my airy apartment especially on rainy days. I'm thankful for sunshine on my shoulders. I'm thankful for coffee. I'm thankful for my plants. I'm thankful for the yummy yet creative cocktails my husband makes.

So what can you be grateful for today? Can you look for 3 things that are good in your world? And focus on those things rather than letting fear grip you today?

#tbt to this sunshine spot in Croatia. Another thing I'm really grateful for - the trips I've taken to see the world! (but more on that later 😉)
