three tactics to decrease stress now

I hear you. It's been a wild ride.

After talking with 30+ people this month about the stress and anxiety that's plaguing each of during this time, this is what I've learned:

🗣 We all need to be heard. We crave to be heard and fully understood, especially when we feel like we're struggling.

🤐 Stress and anxiety feel awful. But telling ourselves that we "shouldn't" be feeling this way only makes it worse.

🌟 We are all worthy and capable right frickin now. Even if you just sleep today. Even if you lose your cool. Even if you were furloughed. Even if you experienced trauma as a kid. There's nothing you could do (or not do) that would keep you from being worthy and capable.

So let's start reminding ourselves of these things, let's start practicing them. Because the more we practice the easier it'll get.

🗣 If you're feeling down, reach out to someone you can talk to. And reach out to me. I'm here for you. I'm a great listener and I know we can work through this together.

🤐 Allow yourself to feel negative. It doesn’t make you a negative person. Let that inner critic, that upset middle schooler inside, talk just for a minute. We've got to let it out. Let that part of you be heard, forgive it and then move on.

🌟 Start telling yourself that you are worthy and capable. How could you do something small today that would get you feeling good about yourself? Even if it's a tiny thing?

And let me know, how are you showing up for yourself today? Let me know with a 🗣 🤐 or 🌟 below.
