this is what I do

Real talk - I used to daydream about needing my appendix out so I wouldn't have to go to work.

So I get it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you're burnout, miserable. If you dread going to work everyday - or most days. If the Sunday Scaries keep you up at night. Or if you get moody thinking about work, I get it. I've lived that.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And it's horrible. It's an awful way to live. It hardly feels like living.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Work can be all consuming. It can eat away at everything else.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I used to live for the weekend - and any time past 5pm. As long as I had the energy at the end of the day - and most of the time, I didn't. Or I'd make plans and then wish I hadn't so I could just go home and get in my pjs.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So I get the dissatisfaction. Feeling like you're not supported at work or not compensated enough. Or feeling frustrated with the corporate bullsh*t.

That's why I do what I do today. Because I lived that too. And it sucks.
