today is different

"It feels like everyday is Groundhog day," a client said to me last week. You've seen that movie, right? The one where the same day repeats itself over and over and over again.

And I'm with you, now that we've been in this quarantine time for a while, it feels weird. It's hard to even remember how long this has been going on.

What day is it, what time is it? Does it even matter?

But waking up and feeling like today will be the same as yesterday, only makes us feel like we might as well just go back to bed. Am I right?

And when we start the day with that kind of energy, it's no wonder that we're feeling burnt out, flustered, anxious and fed up (btw this is how Bill Murray feels in the movie too).

So how can we, like Bill, find some joy in it? How can we make today different than yesterday? What we can plan as something to look forward to (without breaking our quarantine)? Can we try and be as nice to the people around us as we can? Can we truly listen to each other?

Can we get creative here? I've been working on a project that I can't wait to share with you guys. And I've got lots of friend happy hours and video calls on the books. I've been writing letters and might whip out the paints later.

How about you?
